Default Enkei RPF1s - Opinions

So I'm looking into a track set of RPF1's and wonder how they will fit. I did a search and found recommendations on 17s.

The size was 17x9.5 +38mm all around (leaning on this setup)
or 17x9 +35mm 17x10 +18mm

Will these clear the stock Brembos?
How will fitment look? Will it be flush? I'm suspecting spacers may be needed.

Thanks for the advice.

17x10+18 would not be good for the track as it will limit your tire width options. For the track, you should go with a slightly less aggressive offset and stuff as wide of tires as you can onto those wheels

My last set (not Enkeis) was 17x9 +27 all around with 275/40/17 R-comps. It was a great setup, and I was able to rotate them each time I ran them. I don't think any of those 1st 2 setups will clear Brembos without a 5-10mm spacer.

the +35 and +38 is too high of an offset. I know you can run a 17x9 +27 with a 275/40or45 without any issues. I would run the 17x9.5 all around but in a higher offset it if were me. But not to high. Or you could just use 10mm spacers. I love my rpf1 but they're not a track set. I would use the MB weapons 17x9 +27.

When you compare the current wheels to the new wheels using an offset calculator what do you get?

will not fit the front without spacers...and big ones at that

17x9 +35 fits. Looks lame though

Why not get the proper sizes though?

Hmm... Looks like 17s aren't looking too good. I dont want to deal w/ spacers and such.

Any recommendations on 18s?

How about Front: 18x8.5 +30 Rear: 18x9.5 +38 or +15 be?
With the right tire sizes, I shouldn't have any rubbing issues right?
Not exactly sure how the rear offsets will look or clear brembos. I'm sure the front's will clear them. Z1 can you PM a price on these shipped?

if you arent in a huge rush there are 17's we can get from Japan that work great

17x9 +22, then you could run a 17x9.5 +18 (again, special order) or 17x10 +18 out back if you wanted

on the 18 inch side. 18x8.5 +30 front clears with ease, 18x9.5 +15 is backordered with Enkei, but the +38 is good to go

I'm in no rush. Plenty of time before my next track day. I'd really like same width 17's all around just for the rotation ability.

How would the 17x9 +22 look out back?

a bit too tucked in I think

maybe consider the 9.5 +18 all around then...would look nice, and give you the ability to rotate

Any possible clearance issues w/ that offset?

Maybe fender rolling needed?

I have the 18x10.5 +15 all around with 265/35 azenis 615. I have my fenders rolled though. No current picture as I dropped the car lower but here is my wheel thread. https://my350z.com/forum/media-share/318472-my-first-set-of-wheels-enkei-rpf1-18x10-5-a.html

17 x 9 +22 all around would be a good track set up. 275 width tires will probably work all around without any modification, but you might need to add some negative camber in the front. If you are doing track days you will want the negative camber anyway, there will be no issue with the rear.

9.5 +18 out back might need rolling depending on the exact tire you use and your cars height - but either way, rolling the fenders is quite easy to have done

depending on tire. I know you can run a 19x10.5 +23 with a 275/35 so you should be able to run smaller wheel without rolling.

there is no such thing as hard and fast rules when it comes to width, offset and tire size on offsets that low and widths that wide unfortunately, because ever tire is different. Some tires might still rub, some won't - only way to know 100% for sure, is to try it

Does the 17x9.5 +18 with 255/40's sound doable?

I'll look into getting my rear fenders rolled.

sounds more than doable yes - I can't imagine those would rub, even on "wide" 255's
