since i live in freezing cold minnesota i took my Z to a car wash. didnt realize they put it on tracks and had it go through the wash, came out with some of the finish taken off my rims. does anyone have any idea how much it costs to get rims refinished?

that's rough. What type of wheels? How badly damaged?

Just out curiosity, how did you think it was going to move in wash area?

 

David is right on. If I remember correctly, I paid about $125 to get curb rash fixed on my OEM wheel (2003 Performance model, same wheel that is on the Touring model).

Only problem… the repaired wheel looked newer than the other three wheels. Fixed after driving a couple of months, when all the wheels looked the same again. Minnesota is obviously “hard” on wheels.

im not sure what type of wheels i have, i guess just the stock rims that come with the 2006 Z's. and they arent badly damaged, its almost like the silver coating was chipped off, much different than what rims look like when they are curbed which i have done before
