If you want the GTC01 look and want to save some weight, don't forget about Enkei's Racing Series GTC01RR. They still are not as light as RPF1's, but they are closer than the GTC01's and just as strong as the RPF1's.
Even larger price difference from the RPF1's though. They are around $1000 more than the equivalent sized RPF1's for a set of 4.
Been thinking about picking up a set of 18" RPF1's again. What would you suggest given these constraints? Really I just don't want it to look ridiculous with a ton of camber or stretched wheels.
G35 coupe
Willing to roll fenders and do camber arms, but don't want more than -2 degrees in front, -1.5ish in rear (street driving and some track days)
Stock height currently, but might lower with coilovers eventually.
I don't want the wheels to stick out from the fenders
No stretched tires.
Prefer a square setup with same tire sizes front and rear.
Can live with VDC not working right, I'm not a big fan of it so far anyway.
I'm torn between 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 square setups, but worry about the rears sticking out too far outside the fenders and the camber needed for 10.5's being excessive (IMO). I'm fine with a little less tire/width (255? 265? 275?) as long as it meets my other requirements. What do you guys think?
- Stock/OEM alignment specs (~ -1.5deg rear camber)
- Wheels 18x9.5 +15 F&R
- Tires 255/40 Front, 275/40 Rear (pretty sure I could run 275 square if I wanted more understeer...)
- Lowered -19mm
- Rear fenders rolled
Should easily fit 10.5 width rear with this setup.
HOWEVER - Travlee might be right.... G35 Coupe wheels may be the same as Z33 but sedan alloys are higher offset. Read your wheels or measure them beforehand.

This guy did 10.5s on a G coupe, I just think it sticks out a bit much and the 265's look stretched. But I think the offset and such will be fine as the fitment seems the same as the 350z.

Yeah, dunno what I was thinking but the G-COUPE uses pretty much the same set up as Z33 with same results. Stock 18x8/8.5 (or the 17 set up) rear if memory serves.
I like the fit of my 18x9.5s (but I also have a set of 10s and a couple sets of 10.5s - all 19s - and they all work beautifully due to conservative offsets in the 20s.)
On your tire fit, keep in mind you want to keep rolling diameter as stock:
The 265 sizes are a bit short at least for the rear:
265 35% 18 25.30
265 40% 18 26.35
I know you said you want to maintain a square set up but the following is actually a little better choice for 18s (maintaining the height stagger relationship for the sake of your VDC - if equipped as such - is more important than the ability to do tire rotation):
Good points. I have VDC but I don't have a problem putting in a toggle for it or unplugging it. At least doing a quick check on tire rack, there aren't a ton of matching grippy tire options for 255/40 and 275/40 which is disappointing.

For what it's worth, I'm a pretty big fan of the "lowly" (perceived as such due to their low price point) Sumitomo HTR Z III (not "II", no relation). I've had both stock size set and now this set of 255/275 and neither have disappointed. Good on-center feel, razor sharp reflexes, and high limits of grip for street and hills/valley runs. (Track behavior unknown)
I've probably said this a thousand times here but these replaced a set of Michelin PS and I worried about losing the high tactile feel and grip when I switched over years ago. No disappointment! Like them as much as my Bridgestone S04 19s.
I bring this up only because Tire Rack did NOT have the 275/40 for some reason. I was able to find a tire vendor on FleaBay who shipped out a pair pronto so point is I had to find it somewhere else.

Thanks for taking the time to take the pics and post them. I assume you just unplugged the accelerometer or have it switched to turn off VDC or is it not that big of an issue?

With normal driving I leave VDC on, but during spirited driving on twisties and hpde the VDC does become very intrusive so I just turn it off.
