In looking at the tire calculator, it seems that a 255/40-18 front and 275/40-18 rear are the closest rolling diameter to stock, and should cause no issues with ABS or anything. The 35 is 4.1% faster than stock in the rear, which I am being told could cause issues with the ABS system (don't have VDC). With an aspect ratio of 40, methinks I am increasing the odds that I will have to roll the fenders, which I am trying to avoid. The SSR GT3s that I have on the car now are a 275/35-19 in the rear, on a 19X10 with a +24 offset, and they do not look right because they sit too far inside the fender (fronts are much worse on a +38 19X8.5). I plugged the numbers into the offset calculator I found in another thread (http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp), and it looks like the 9.5 is only pushing out about .1" from what I have now, and the 10.5 would only be about .6" farther out.

SO... I guess the question is - the ones that you guys have seen rub on a 9.5 with a 275, were the cars lowered alot? My car is lowered less than 1" on Hotchkis TVS springs. Am I worrying too much about this whole rolling thing? The guys in the shop where I work seem to think it is no big deal, but everyone else is telling me horror stories and saying it will destroy resale (if I ever wanted to sell it). Am I worrying too much about this wheel speed differential thing? Is a square setup better since I have adjustable sway bars? Is 275 going to be too wide for a 9.5" wheel (looks right on the 10" wheel on the car now)?

I really want these RPF1s, and I HAVE to ditch these GT3s, but this is making me effing crazy. I have been spending hours nightly reading threads and looking at pics. I need a drink.
255/40 and 275/40 are proper sizes, the front fits fine , the rear will require a roll. Just roll the fenders, its simple and easy.

Thanks for the input guys. It looks like rolling the fenders is inevitable.

Dude just get 275/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear, roll the rear fenders and call it a day. It's the best, trust me. I don't rub up front.. Z's have rolled front fenders from the factory, chill out! lol

looking to get setup a little more flush, camber is at about -4.5 all around right now if i remember correctly. (all stock arms)

should i get spacers or will i be able to get it closer by getting some of the camber taken out?

pics arent the greatest for the rear but its all i have right now, ill have to take some good ones when i have a chance.

kind of an old post, but what kind of camber are you running? Stance is perfect imo, id like for mine to look something like this, only with 18's.

Just take the camber out. What wheel specs ? I'm going to guess 9.5 10.5 +15 front and rear. Tire specs ? Drop the camber to -2 front and rear, your all set.

I'm assuming that you have the 9.5/10.5 +15 setup.. well honestly on a Z +15 is nowhere near low enough offset to get that "hellaflush" look you seem to be going for.. so spacers will be necessary. I'd go with at least 10mm spacers if you want to keep those stretched tires. Yes, getting rid of some of that camber will help too.. but you'll need aftermarket arms for that.

yea specs are 9.5 and 10.5 +15 all around. Im not really after the hellaflush thing, im actually looking to raise the car a little. And -2 degrees is actually what i planned on running after i get all my arms so i can get an alignment.

Guess ill just wait and see where im at after the alignment and go from there.

Not -4.5 if you have stock arms. Front might be 9.5 +38. Take a wheel off and look.

Looks good. Did you go 265/285 or 265/275 on the 9.5/10.5?
