Hey guys, I've been stewing on this set of wheels/tires I've found locally and endlessly searching for pics of this specific setup to see how it would work on my car. I have an 04 performance stock suspension and non brembo brakes, but looking to drop it .5-.8".

Anyway, I found a set of RPF1's in a 17x9.5 +38 with 255/40 falken Azenis RT615 for $1200. I autocross and do some occasional track days locally. Not really looking for a "flush" look but like more rubber than wheel personally. Any thoughts on that deal if its worth snagging or holding off for a different set up. Thanks in advanced for any thoughts and opinions.

Well I would buy 20-25mm spacers and run a 285 all the way around

Well due to fund reasons I would be running the tires on them until they were worn out, only have 2k miles on them now. Just curious if that wheel size is WAY far off than desirable for a Z, all I can find is people saying run lower offsets but is that just for looks or functionality?

I guess I don't know what "specs" I WANT. I guess thats more my question. I want RPF1's without a doubt. They have been my "dream" wheels since I've been into cars. I don't mind having 17's because the tires are a little more affordable as well, I just need to know if that setup will physically fit a Z well without any rubbing or anything like that.

I do somewhat, I probably should better than I do, I'm a dealer tech for a living lol +38 meaning the wheel bolts on 38mm from the center of the wheel towards the front face of the wheel correct?

I run RPF1's f/r 18s 9.5/+15 245-40, 10.5/+15 275-40 with 2" and 2.25" drop without rubs. Save for the 18's you can run larger in width for more tires, therefore more surface contact between the rubber and ground. RPF1 18s are very light. Last time before I mounted the tire, I put them on scale, and 9.5 weight 18.4 lbs and 10.5 weight 18.8 lbs. These are the best track wheel you can get for the money. Good luck on hunting one

Since you've been waiting for these wheels, I don't see why you can't use them and a 20mm spacer all around. In order maintain the proper stagger, you might want to consider 245/40 and 275/40. That's what I used on my 18 wheels. You will have more gap though...lowering will help. BTW, that's a very good deal.

That's not really a deal if you then have to pay $250 for spacers on top of purchasing the wheels.

I would expect to pay around $1,500 to $2,000 max for a set of RPF1's in the proper sizing (with tires)

Just ordered my RPF1s matte black staggered set up
Still contemplating which tire set up to go with..
Hankook V12
255/40/18 275/40/18 or..
265/35/18 285/35/18

Either of those tire setups will be good, if you're not lowered the 40 series will fill in the wheel gap a little more if that matters to you.

I am hopefully trading my varrstoens for some some black rpf1s here within the next week or so.
