Default I need new rubber??

well, its time to throw the old toyos and get something new. i am thinking about Pirelli rosso or nitto invo. i am definitely not very impressed by the toyo proxes t1r. they were good but not what i expected. so, what should be next Pirelli or Nitto?

Have you tried the BFG's? They receive comments for being good performance tires all the time. People say they are too noisy, but IMO, the car itself is already noisy from the factory. I came from a Toyota Sequoia to a 350Z, so I guess I got too comfortable with the smooth and quiet ride from the Sequoia.

i need only rears. i have been running on 285/30/19. and i would like to keep it that way. just checked and did not find 285/30 BFGs'. but i read alot about Pirelli, and i am leaning towards them. but still hesitant.

neither should definately be an option. youre goin from crap tires (T1R) to "meh" tires. BFG KDW for DD or KD for weekender, Yokohama A048 for weekender AD07 for DD, or Michelin PS2...take your pick. if I had the money PS2's ftmfw. best tires you can buy for a street driven Z. I challenge you to find someone with PS2's that doesnt LOVE them. expensive but they have good treadwear, great grip in wet or dry, and they dont produce much noise either.

i put 3k on the toyos, and they are with less than 30% tread. i want something that will grip goooooood. i would pay the money if the tires are worth it. by the way the fronts are also toyos 255/35/19. i will keep them due to the fact that i am not looking forward to spend more than 1G for high quality tires. therefore, i will just get the rears. and my Z is not daily driven, although, the freaking toyos got worn out FASTTT.

Lol! well if its not daily driven and you want GRIP heres a list for you to pick from. they wont last any longer than the T1R's....but if you like cutting corners theyre for you. Yokohama Advan AD07 or A048. Falken RT-615 Azeni. BFGoodrich G-force KD. not KDW. Toyo RA1's. Hankook Ventus Z212. Bridgestone potenza RE-01R.

btw who wants to suck on a spearmint *****...seriously....weird flavor for a condom.

iv heard yokohs are sticky when u burn rubber so its good for tracks but do you really need sticky tires for every day use? try it out and sell it if you dont like'em

well, i dont drive the zed daily, so once i drive it i want to be able to cut corners good, and just enjoy it. the toyos are ok, but hell they are unpredictable tires. you take a corner once with 60mph, you think you can do it again, does not happen all the time. overall, like i said t1r are ok, but wanna get something way better. i was offered a deal on nitto invo or pirelli rosso. but hey if they are not as good as i thought, i would not get them.

283/35/19 will work just fine. BFG would be my choice. They are more predictable during hard turns. Other than the noise, they are awesome in wet and dry conditions.

theyre well made tires. but the design overall, if youre looking to cut corners, isnt up your alley.

I've got the PS2's on my Z and while you're correct in all the above....once they start to wear to about half the tread left, they do get a bit noisy.
