Default General Tires

Any experience here with the General UHP tires? There is a very attractive price on the 18's through TD4L and it is rated #1 in it's class on TireRack.Com.

I just can't seem to find any opinions from other Z drivers.

Thanks in advance.

im using the general exclaim tires...i like em, on the quiet side. grip wise, ive had better, but for the price and performance. im definitly stickin with em..
but also depends on your driving style...
i wouldnt use these tires for scca or anything, daily street and some spirited driving is ok.

This is an M&S rated tire? Do you need an M&S rated tire?

The Exclaims are nice. I had them on, but got rid of them within the 30 day trial period. Didn't like them. They were a quiet tire, but grip was worse than what I ran previously. They were nice, but I didn't care of the reduction in grip.

Thanks for the response. I am a little skeptical of a hard tire. 380 Rating on the Generals. I am on my 2nd set of Potenza's and I also ran a set of Avons for about 8K before they feathered out on the front. The 2nd set of Potenza's were mounted on a set of 06 wheels I bought from another Z driver. I am under the impression that the Z does not like a hard all season tire. I may be wrong, but at 25K a year of daily driving, Potenza's or a higher priced performance tire is a stretch. Maybe it is time for that A4.............

i got them in 275/40/18 in the rear, grip not too good but like someone else had mentioned, you can't beat their prices. They are handsome looking tires imo.
