I've got 18x9.5 +22 on all four corners. I've got Falken Azenis RT-615 245/40 on the front and 255/40 on the rear. It looks and handles phenomenal!

the 9.5" is key to fitting decent sized tires...

18X9.5 +20 is a perfect size and offset for flush wheels on the Z...you can run a 275 rear and 265 front w/out rubbing (not sure about VDC - I always turn mine off, so it's never an issue )

Nice set-up there. Good lookin Z too.

To the OP: *** 19's, get the non staggered 18x9.5's. Save weight.

if they can get 19x9.5 rears, why couldn't you run those all around also? Just another option

With 9.5" wheel width and 18" height, I would go with at least 275/40-18" on the rear.

That is an excellent looking setup. Would that be a good size to go with the Mastergrade Widebody Kit? And what rims are those? By the way to you have any VDC issues with your setup?
Thanks...

No that wouldn't. Warren, give me a call we can discuss the kit.

I doubt if I can explain it better than the VDC thread. Sorry.

18x9.5 is the same as the NISMO wheel. What size tire? Same as the tire recommended for the NISMO wheel.

The Sticky thread about VDC gives you the information you need. Of course, anyone can become confused. The important thing is you need to keep close to the overall diameter (or saying this differently, the tire’s circumference) of the stock OEM tires.

The stock tires have these overall diameters: Front: 25.9" and Rear: 26.7"

As long as you keep close to these measurements (OD), you’re fine with VDC.

Wheel diameter has nothing to do with this since it’s the overall diameter of the tire that is important. For example: If you decide on 18” wheels:
Front 245/40-18” and Rear 275/40-18” works fine with VDC.

Or, you could go with 19” wheels and use these tire sizes:
Front 245/35-19” and Rear 275/35-19” and expect this to work with VDC.

You should also be aware that tire width has nothing to do with VDC operation. A wide tire or a narrow tire will work as long as the overall diameter of the tire matches Nissan’s circumference (a direct relation to overall diameter) specifications.

I suspect you are confused by the metric system for tire measurements, so here some additional information.

The metric tire sizing system represents a tire size as:
[section width (mm)] / [aspect ratio] - [rim diameter (inches)]

For example: a tire size 225/45-18 is 225mm wide, has an aspect ratio of 45 and fits an 18" rim (wheel).

The aspect ratio (the second number) is not a measurement. The aspect ratio represents the tire's sidewall height as a percentage of the tires width (section height divided by section width). In the example above, the sidewall height is 101mm (101/225=45).

The aspect ratio is important since that (along with the wheel size) determines the overall diameter of the tire allowing you to match your stock overall tire height (diameter). For example, a 225/45-18 tire's sidewall height is 101mm, and a 245/40-18 tire's sidewall height is 98mm. So, both tires have nearly the same overall diameter.

If you are still confused, I would suggest buying from one of the great Sponsors on my350z.com. Our Sponsors are expert in wheel/tire configurations, understand the Z, and provide perfect solutions that match your requirements.

Hope this is helpful,

--Spike
