hey guys trying to read up on this new tire, or not so new tire from NITTO. the INVO. Everywhere i hear that its great for handling and this and that but the realy question is this.

Does it lessen the the wear from having a lowered car? i know no matter what you do the inside tread is going to wear out. But the real question is what tire will reduce this? To give your tire more life? Will the INVO do it? Any suggestions on tires you or anyone you have heard?

I have ran T1r's for a while then the T1S's before. They last about 10k.

I just googled and got a bunch of sites with information on it. Every site, video and blog i read talked about the "supreme" handling. None of them talked about tire thread wear.

The Nitto INVO is a poor performance tire.

You did not mention if your suspension is set-up for handling or looks. If its performance, than the Z demands a top-rated performance tire. If its looks, then The Nitto or any inexpensive tire is suitable. As you mentioned you go through tires like a hooker goes through dates.

good stuff guys thanks for the info. after reading some more i found out that they blow. the NEO GEN is a good tire as well but doesnt make the size in 20s i want for my new set up.

I'm not sure how people come up with the conclusion that the tire is 'poor' but I ran these on my stock 3600lb benz at california speedway (AMB timing with speedventures) - was able to get 1:22's on the infield road course. I'd say that's pretty darn good for a treadwear 260 tire..especially in stock sizes...if anything I just needed more front tire for better braking/turn-in but oh well...need wheels for that.

The invo seems to work great on cambered cars, i'm on my second set of fronts. I got 50k out of the first set of fronts and 32k out fo the rears.

Just put invo's on mine. I have stock suspension I can't speak to tire wear yet but as far as handling and quietness I really like them.

-1.5 front and -2.0 rear, they would have lasted longer if i aligned my car more often , my alignment was way out of wack for over a year.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm looking to change from Falken FK452s to something that supports being slammed better. I'm having the usual feathering and tire roar issues that are so common with the FK452s. I didn't know they were prone to feathering when I bought them.

Would you guys still say that the Nitto Invo is the best tire for being slammed? I have camber kits and everything and my alignment is fine which leads to me to believe it's the tires considering their history. Not to mention that they're discontinued now.

Id figure that if you're slammed and really just care about looks and going to work and back, that its best to just get tires with really good treadwear?
