Question Has anyone fit a 325mm wide tire on stock body Z?

I currently run 305mm wide tires on 11" wheels. It looks like there is room for another 10mm on each side (inner and outer fender). I'm wondering if anyone else has run this width without going widebody.

I'd like to go 325 but just not sure. My fenders are cut so there is a little more room. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Probably not that far from the truth.

There are at least a couple of members here with 325 rears. If your wheel itself allows that much rubber, then based on your clearance I don't see why not.

I believe Zexy has 315's on an 11" wheel stock body, might want to PM him for some further info.

you would really need a larger wheel 12"-13" wide to run a 325 safely, but i bet you could make it fit.

from my measurements it can't be done w/ un-modified fenders...but since yours are cut, it'll be close.

*I'm running a 295/35/18 on a 18X10+38...I've messed w/ spacers and know that if I want to run a 315/18, I'll need to roll my fenders a bit. (I also have JIC coilovers, and their struts are slightly larger diameter than OE).

I know Philthy runs a 315 on an 18" wheel at the rear of his stock body G. So a 315 is definitely possible. But I haven't seen or heard of anything wider than a 315 tire without a widebody kit.

I recently got 19x11 with 305/30-19 at the rear of my G and love it.

The question really does not have an answer unless you specify what exact tire you are looking to run as not all 325s are the same size.

It was either a Pirelli (12.8" wide) or PS2 (12.9").

Ron,

I bet you could run 315/25/20 T1Rs on your 11s. I'm running 295/30/20s on my 10s and I'm barely rubbing. I haven't rolled my fenders yet. Obviously, it depends on your offset.

There ain't no way they will fit, without complete roll and fender pulled quite a bit and even then I doubt it. If I thought it was possible to run 325/30/19's on a 11.5-12" wheel, I would have done it. just with my 305 on 10.5" wheels I rubbed both the fender and shock sleeve at the same time (sleeve under hard compression and just barely). All with a 35 offset. Also just barely hit the fender with a 1.5" rear drop.

I have about 3/4" of room until the outer edge of my wheel (not the tire) would be completly flush with the outside of the fender and 3/4" clearance to the shock, not the sleave. that's with no load on the suspension.

If you had the fenders totally rolled and cut as far as possible, I don't see how you could run a rim wider than 11.5" and that's with the offset nailed down to the exact mm. This is probably why nobody runs a 325 on the stock body. If you could fit a 11.5"-12" rim, you would have to stretch the crap out of the tires.

you could always go ghetto and let them stick out passed the fender like an SUV, which I have seen some Z guys do in here. Why I have no idea.

If somehow you can pull it off, would love to see pics.
