i think my tcs is stuck on
my car was hit in the right rear and when i bought the car it had a dummy tire on the back.i would say that at the junk yard they drove the car around would this hurt the rear end ? and where are the sensors at . the car is almost 100% fixed. i shut off vdc and the car still doesen't have an power my car may be out of line.
i bought the car in utah.at a salvage yard it was hit in the right rear.it broke the rear rim.they put on a small donut spare,i don't know how much they drove the car with this tire on.My question is will this hurt the gears or the differential? when i get in the car i shut off the vdc and i go for a drive the seems like traction control is on.the revs are slow.
the only thing i didn't get done on the car is a four wheel alignment. one rim is out for sure. \
do you think traction control can get stuck on?
how do i check traction control?
can i shut tcs off to see if this is my problem?

I’m assuming your car has VDC since you said: “i shut off vdc and the car still doesen't have an power my car may be out of line.”
Zs equipped with VDC have TCS as a integral part of the Vehicle Dynamic Control system. If you press the VDC button, it turns off VDC (and also the integrated TCS feature), and you see VDC OFF displayed in your dash cluster.
It’s still winter in Nova Scotia, so you can easily test this by finding a parking lot with a frozen (i.e., slippery) surface. Try accelerating hard from a standstill with VDC on and then off. If there is no difference, VDC is malfunctioning. The SLIP light appears on the dash cluster when TCS is active. If you see the SLIP light with VDC off, your system is malfunctioning.

You and I are a little older than most here. What I notice is that as I age, I become less egocentric, and more tolerant and kind. It's a good thing.
I do hope that softail reports back, telling us if in fact VDC/TCS was damaged.
