Want to move my 245/45-18's up front and put 265/40-18's out back on stock wheels from a 2004 Performance model? The size variations are within the 3.0% rule for the VDC - but will the 265's fit on the rear wheels?
You’re pushing the 3% rule with that setup since you are increasing the front by 2.7% and decreasing the rear by 1.3%. Your Perfomance model has VDC so I would avoid going taller in the front and shorter in the rear.
Plus, 265mm is past the specification for an 8” wide wheel. You can get it on the wheel, but it will bulge a little and the tire shop may be concerned about liability.
Consider buying 245/40-18” for the front and leaving your 245/45-18 tires on the rear.
