Default tire keeps losing air!

in december I got my new re960's put on. a few weeks later the psi in the right rear tire dropped down to 11. I thought I had a nail in it but I took a look and no nail. so I just filled it up again. (by the way the car sits at my house in jersey and I go to school in philly so I only get to drive it on the weekends when I go back home) then the next week the psi dropped down to 22. This went on for the next couple of months ( I couldn't bring my car back to the shop I got my tires put on by because I was too busy doing stuff for school). Last weekend I finally got a chance to bring the car in and the guy couldn't find anything wrong with it! he said he put the tire in water for 15 minutes and couldn't find any leaks! Does anyone know what the problem could be? I was also thinking about putting some of the green slime stuff in the tire to see if it helps.

your rims are probably bent..

my rims were doing that the front right would loose 5 PSI every 2 days and the front left woudl loose 10 PSI every 2 days..

got new rims.. boom.. hasn't happened since

took me two sets of tires to realize it was my rims and not the tires

I've had this happen before. In my case it was like Dave said, my bead was leaking. I blew the tire up to around 50 lbs, then brought it back down to where it should be. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. I could see it happening if the car sits for extended periods.

The air pressure sensors are very delicate. If the shop broke the sensor putting it back in, then there is your problem. The sensors also have very small rubber gaskets which go bad or if they are slightly ripped during installation, they will leak.

Slime will eat your rims and destroy your air sensors.

Where in Pway are you? I found a sweet little lot behind an abandoned business building to do some donuts near me, I go and spin my 'beater' car around in it when it snows
