Default tires on wheels fitment?

i just bought some wheels the other day. i got 9.5 in rear. they told me size 275 tires for the 9.5 wheels. i see that a lot of others have the same size. but it looks like the tires arent wide enough. like they barely make it to the wheel edge to hold the air. i like it when the tires come and overlap a bit on the wheels it seems to kinda protect the wheels from curb rashes when parking. most important it just looks dangerous like it will pop with a little bump. should i go for 285 with the tires or should i be fine? does it seem that way with anyone else?

I recommend 275 plus or minus 10 mm.
