Default Nismo S-Tune installed

Had my S-Tune shocks/springs/sways intalled today. First thing i noticed is it does ride pretty flat, cornering is smooth, hooking a U turn is fast and easy, understeer is much much less if at all. The car just feels more nimble and the steering feels lighter. My rim offsets are pretty low 17mm for front and back on my 19" rims so i thought i might have a rubbing issue, so far no problem. The only problem i almost had was that stillen's dual exhaust pipe touches the rear sway bar, so i'm afraid at some point its going to rattle, but so far it hasn't. The drop isn't as low as i thought, but it does make the car look sleeker. I thought it looked about the same as the eibach drop. I was expecting a slightly stiffer ride, but it's quite comfortable, not much stiffer than stock. Most places near where i live quoted about 300 bucks for everything installed, one place was 300 with an alignment, but they weren't open today so i paid an extra 50 bucks at another place, but they did a good job. If you are planning on getting this mod, i think it works great and should work with most peoples tire/rim choices, just make sure it works with your exhaust though. And yeah, i have VDC so i'll see if causes any problems, i doubt it though.

Default vdc

i guess because the suspension parts were tested on a car other than a car with VDC, nissan says the parts are for non vdc equiped cars. Everyone i've talked to say Nissan will take that disclaimer off soon for the official launch this fall, after it's tested on a VDC equipped car. I'm thinking it's a non-issue but i'm not racing with the parts and drive mostly with VDC off anyways. If i hear anything more or have problems, i'll let you guys know.

Default signal auto usa

signal auto is where i had them install it. The guy that works there, Jun i think his name was has a white Z. They are open on sunday too, that was why i chose them and they are japanese mechanics that work on fixing up japanese cars. The place Signal is based from osaka japan and they have a couple of drift cars in their lot. It's right across the street (south/west) of the Mitsuwa japanese market on western and carson st. The address is 1719 Abalone Ave #401. Actually, they are not visible from the corner, they are behind the corner mini mall looking place, closer to the Ralphs market driveway on abalone street.
They did a good job though.

The other place was on artesia, it's right next to discount tire, i forgot the name but their address is 1610 W. artesia blvd #2, gardena ca, 310-532-6713, i got the quote for 300 for sways, struts/shocks/springs, alignment for 325, but i think he said he would do it for 300. He just finished putting in eibachs in a customers black Z and an AEM CAI, looked really good, the guy had some nice volk rims.

Default I'll post some pics later

I guess you want to see how much it drops the car, not much, but good enough. It doesn't rub at all though. I think i have about 3/4 inch front and about an inch rear gap as an estimate. The streets near my house are crappy, pot holes, bumpy, and i haven't had any rubs, i have to go over speed bumps at work and it doesn't drop like the old shocks used to after the bump. I can take freeway offramps super fast now too, no wheel squeek at all and i was flying. Anyways, i guess i can show how it looks through the wheel, you can see the red springs and silver shocks, they look cheap compared to some of the coilovers from other companies, but they work great with the sways. The stock sways must be hollow too, the front bar looks super heavy but really wasn't that heavy so i assume it's hollow too, but the new one is lighter. Anyways, i'll post pics this weekend.

Default rim depth rear side angle

rear to front side, still no rubbing, since it's not that low. i doubt it will rub at all, i'm planning on leaving it this height, i don't want to mess with the spring rates by cutting or changing it with a different brand.

Default no problems with VDC so far

I really didn't expect any problems with VDC since it's not affecting wheel diameter or the computers with the parts i put on. Nissan just hasn't tested it yet with a VDC car so they put the disclaimer on these parts. It works just like normal, car starts - VDC on, hit the button - VDC off, power feels a lot stronger and smoother. If it starts raining or i think the road is a little slippery, i put VDC on, but couldn't feel it cut power or anything weird yet like that so i'm assuming that it's not affecting it. Now if you get different Wheel sizes that are way off normal diameter, that can throw off VDC, but so far so good for me. I think if you want a milder upgrade this nismo kit works as advertised. I drive it everyday and don't think it's all that much harder than stock. I think it's a good mod, a bit expensive yet though. I think a set of bilsteins and eibach pro springs would be just as good, but i'm happy with it. It did settle a little more and looks a little lower than my previous pics, but not much.

p.s. no rubbing with my wheels, setup is working great!

That is an awesome set up! Do you think you will have any feathering issue or that set up should cure it? I'm planning to go with that set up as well! as soon I confirm that I won't get the feathering issue afterward.

I'm hoping there will be no feathering issues, i didn't install any camber kits. So far i can't see any weird wear on my tires yet. I guess some cars came from the factory a bit off, i've heard though that you can get them very close to spec even with the larger tires so that you didn't need the camber kits, but so far i've left mine as is from the factory. I'll let you know if my tires start wearing weird.
