Default 08 Stock Rims + $300 in pocket or MSR 088 rims?? *PICS*

Hi guys,

Friend of mine is trading in his 07 touring for a Jeep Cherokee and 08 Yamaha R6 bike.... so he's offering me his 19x8.5 and 19x10 staggered MSR 088 rims wit Yoko tires with about 5,000 miles on them for my stock ones and $300...

this is how the wheel looks like:

I didn't really ask him how much he paid for them and I can't get any price quotes on websites for them as they are discontinued... I did find on other forums that some guy is selling them for $860 without the tires. Do you guys think this is a good deal? How much do you think I could get for my 08 stock rims with 500 miles on them?

Thanks!

Not my style, but it's definitely worth doing for the money

Then you could sell them and get some real rims

Yea, not my style either... but for $300 it's tempting....

I'm not sure how much I could even get for those... hmmm... I'll have to check e-bay for them and to see how much stock 08 rims are worth.

most lower priced rims have horrible offsets, have you seen them on his car? They may be really sunk into the wheel wells which may require you to get spacers.

You know you have a brand new car why not just throw some nice wheels on it?

Answer is NO, 08 Stock wheels looks nice.
I will keep stock wheels and + 300 dollars for NOW.
Save more for better quality and looking nice one.
IMO it's a waste.

I would keep the stock wheels and get spacers for them, until you can afford some nice wheels
