Default Creaking noise: HELP!!

Within the last two weeks I've started to experience a creaking noise coming from the rear of my car. It is a metallic noise and only makes a couple of clicks (2-4) everytime I accelerate from a stop.
I initially thought it was the rear brake shims. So I took my car to Strictly Z to have a look. Kyle and I removed passanger rear tire. Pads are fine and shims look and feel normal. Visual inspection of the brakes and suspension appears normal and everything is tight.
Kyle thought it might be the rear sway bar but the car makes absolutely no noise going over bumps- it's only on initial acceleration.
My rear brakes are stock. I'm running Tein Flex coilovers and Cusco sway bars.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? It fairly loud with the windows down and is driving me crazy. I'm thinking it's either the shims, the sway bar bushings, or possibly the perch that the rear spring sits in. Anyone else having any similar noises?

It might be the pillow ball mounts, Teins get squeaking from the mounts sometimes.

No this is something separate from the Tein noises its coming from the rear near the wheel- very metallic sounding creak. I can lve with the Tein noises but this creaking is driving me crazy because it's pretty noticable from outside the car.

Default I get the same noise...

I am hearing the same noise after about 9000 miles on a stock touring 6-speed, so it is not the suspension upgrade. It sounds like a few short metal creaks, like something is twisting, and then stops. Happens moving forward or backward from a stop only (at least that is the only time you can hear it over the engine). No noise over bumps or pushing up and down. Just the initial momentum shift.

I will be taking it to the service center shortly to have a "wheels-off" inspection of all the shims, bushings, mount points, etc. I took the tech out to hear it and he did. It is less noticable with 2 people in the car, though.

Hopefully not a big deal and is only something that needs to be tightened a bit. I will post an update after the car goes in.

The rear axle nuts need to be tightened. I had the same problem. I guess it's more common than I thought. My tech had to call Nissan tech support 3 times to get the fix, which ended up being the same info I learned from others on this site. I wanted to say, " I told you so!" But I guess he needed the official word. Good luck.

I had this problem and Nissan fixed it.

It was the same squeaking sound you are describing.
It turned out ot be a malformed bushing on the right rear suspension control arm.

They fixed it by ordering a whole new control arm! Talk about overkill!

Hmm ok- so it's either the axle nut or the rear control arm bushing. I'm guessing it probably the axle nut on my car. But I'll check both and let you guys know what I'm able to find.

Mattc- keep me informed on what you find out.

Appreciate all the input guys. Now let me see if I can put this annoyance to bed.
