If comfort and performance is what you want, go with this:

Wheels: 18x8.5” front and 18x9.5” rear
Tires: 245/40-18” front and 275/40-18” rear

---------
If appearance is more important, go with this:

Wheels: 19x8.5” front and 19x9.5” rear
Tires: 245/35-19” front and 275/35-19” rear

The 19” wheels will be close to everything you get with 18” wheels, but the 19” wheels and tires look much better.

22mm offset on the wheels is a good and safe starting point.

Wider tires and taller wheels (20") is another option, but the cost will go beyond your stated budget.

^^ But what if your desire is comfort, and you never plan to track your car.

Would you recommend 18" or 19" wheels?

check the classifieds here - much better wheels and prices to be had. I would get these:

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-tires/360738-fs-ame-tm-02-19x9-5-19x10-5-22-sbc-finish-1-of-1-in-the-world.html

head and shoulders better than some no-name knockoff shitty *** heavy chrome wheel... Rare, unique color (looks "chrome" but really SBC), decent fitment...

19” wheels are probably what you want. This size looks best on your Z, and it rides OK if you go with 245/35-19” front and 275/35-19” rear.

Style, color, and the rest is personal preference. For example, I like the gloss black spokes with a polished rim that Volk makes. I think that looks really good on a Redline Z. Other people would disagree and suggest something like an entirely polished wheel. You can see where this discussion is going.

About buying wheels/tire setups: You’re best source is right here. I would suggest buying from a Sponsor on my350z.com. Our sponsors know the Z well and will provide the best solution.
