Proper spacers for my wheels 18x9 +31, 18x10.5 +43
I got a good deal a while back on some SSR GT3s but the offset leaves a little something to be desired on the 350z.
The wheels are 18x9 +31, 18x10.5 +43 with 245/45/18 – Front and 275/40/18 – Rear tires.
I would like the ability to fatten up the rear tires as well in the future as they are a bit thin for the wheel for my tastes.
I was thinking a 5mm front and 15mm rear spacers.
Does this sound correct?
Also are longer studs required for the front?
Z1 sells a kit with longer studs - $59 for front and $109 for rears (spacers and studs). Does this seem like a good deal?

I want the ability to upgrade to the larger tires once my current ones wear out, so i dont want to get too large of spacers that wont accommodate for this.

first: make sure to use a tire size calculator, especially if you have VDC/TCS
second: I think a +20 offset F/R would work with those tire sizes easily. so:
F 18x9 +31 with a 10mm spacer = +21
R 18x10.5 +43 with a 20mm spacer = +23
look at JetMech's thread on his tire/rim setup. he is running the sizes you want:

google 'miata tire size calculator'. and go from there. you need to keep the rolling diameter the correct size from stock (to keep the odometer, speedometer, mileage gauge and whatever else correct) and not too much difference in height from front to rear (I think less than 3% difference F/R, with the rear being taller).
and yeah, I personally think that the car feels better with tire sizes closer together, no more than 20mm difference and rim widths no more than 1 inch difference.
