stumped about wheel spacers
i just had my alignment done on wednesday of this week after i did my suspension makeover. which includes a spc front and rear camber kit...this is post alignment. they arent angled in only at the top at all...and everything is dialed in and adjusted right where it needs to be. as for the wheels, they are ruff racing 281's and as far as i can see on everywhere they are listed for sale they are +22 for the offset. i dunno what else to tell you guys. this is just how they are sitting.
ok, my bad on this one....the offsets are +20 not +22. my apologies. but still not sure why they sit in like they do....its not real bad. in fact i think the pictures make it look worse than it really is. but still....think im gonna try 8mm spacers to start off with. that outta kick them all out a little bit. if i feel like going for broke when i order maybe ill get the 12mm and just do what i can to roll the fenders a bit in the rear if i really have to.
one other thing too. my tire setup i have right now is 9.5 for rear with a 275/35/18 wheel. and the fronts are 8.5 with 245/40/18. is this setup with different sizes for the profile of the tire safe to run?
they are hankook tires and i dont think they come in 275/40/18 so then the fronts and rears could match. i had noticed if i go over a large enough variation in the road my slip ligh comes on for a second. not often by any means but it does. i have thought about ditching the hankooks completely and going with another brand where i could get the profile size to be 40 all the way around. closer to the 45 oem size also.
i was also thinking about maybe going with a +2 tire setup instead of the +1 i am running right now. whats your guys input about all of this? hope to get some help. im just looking for something that is most effective so i dont make a mistake for a second time.
