Default stumped about wheel spacers

ok.... i have an 06 touring with an eibach prokit and tokico d specs for my suspension as well as an spc front and rear camber kit. i have 18" aftermarket wheels. 9.5 in the rear and 8.5 in the front, with a +22 offset all the way around. to me i think the wheels sit a bit too far inside the wheel wells.

with that setup and offsets, could anyone out there be able to tell me whats the maximum i would be able to go with both front and rear wheel spacers to kick them out farther where i will not have to roll the fenders in the rear. if i have to adjust the shocks so they are stiffer to prevent the tires from hitting the lip under the rear fender then i will.

and also if i am to do that, would upgrading my lugs to something stronger be recommended? hope someone can help. thanks.

Just check the distance between the edge of the tire and fender. How far to you want to move the tires? 5 mm? 20 mm? 30 mm?

If you're not willing to roll your fenders, don't bother with spacers, you nancy....lol.

Post some pics, preferrably taken from the rear of the car showing one side so we can see how far the tires are tucked in.

I doubt that you want worthless comments and guessing in response to your thread.

So… Please post pictures of your car. The pictures should demonstrate your concerns (angles showing the wheels to the fenders). That way you get the best help answering your question.

if your wheels fit properly and you have no rubbing issues, you do not need spacers. if you want to join the fad of having your wheels stick out further for looks, go ahead and get them

youll be fine in the front, but the rear you will need to roll the fenders if you plan to go much more agressive than a mild 5-10mm spacer. thats just my opinion anyhow

I've requested pictures of your setup on my previous post (#4). After re-reading your original post, I now realized the key information that is missing -- what size are your tires!? Which makes my request for pictures even more important if you want some advise from the forum members here.

the previous is the rear, this is the front

i dont hate how they look, i just think they can stand to be moved out a little bit farther. im hoping i can go with an 8mm without having to roll my rear fenders

8mm rear looks safe to me, you could probably get away with 10-15 on that rear unless you get coil-overs and slam it. on the front it looks like you could go 20 or 25mm easily. but as stated, you can measure, these are just my guestimates looking at the pictures provided

Yea I Was Thinking Of Doing 8mm In The Rear To Avoid Any Rubbing. And Maybe Even The Same Up Front. I Might Possibly Go 12mm. Like I Said I Want To Kick Them Out A Little Bit But Not A Huge Amount. And If I Do Go With A Non Aggressive Spacer Like An 8mm Is Getting A Stronger Stiffer Lug Set-up Necessary?

While the specs you listed should have your wheels pretty flush, the picture you put up makes them look pretty tucked. What is your rear camber set at? Wheel looks like it's in spec but damn, that's pretty far in there.

you could easily pull off 15mm in the front and 10mm in the rear without rolling. 15mm in the rear would be close but probably doable with a little camber.

BUT... the main problem you have right now is that your camber is horrible. looks like -3 or worse so it bows inward at the top of the wheels making it looked more tucked. not only does it make it look very tucked but its gonna kill your tires quickly. get some camber arms and get your alignment done and it will improve the tucked look dramatically, then add some spacers if need be.

Something is very wrong here. Your reported offset (22mm) does not match the picture you posted. Your picture looks more like a 35-40 mm offset.

So, it might be the camber making your wheels/tire setup slope for a horrible tucked-look. If in fact this is the case, you can expect poor tire wear along with the lousy look presented by your setup.

If it isn’t the camber slope making this look bad, perhaps your offset isn’t what you think it is?

Man, I hate to tell you this but that looks horrible. I don't think you have the correct offset listed. Do you have any profile shots so we can see how much gap there is on the fender well? I think you'll need a minimum of 25mm on both front & rear.

I didn't know making your car look good was a fad?
Have fun with your sunken wheels.
