Default Fitment question

I try my best not to ask these type of questions and try searching but here goes. Can I run a 275/30/19 on a 9'' rim on my front? Offset will be +26. I know alot use 275 on 10'' rims but can it work on a 9'' rim? Also no VCD.

Thanks

Yes , its the narrowest rim you can run a 275 on, and youroffset is fine.

As terrasmak says, that size tire (275/30-19”) is fine on the front with a 9” wide wheel that has a 26 offset. In fact, it will work well with cars equipped with VDC.

The only problem you have with this wide a tire in the front is “bump-steer” at higher speed on uneven roadways. You will be fine at lower speed in town, and smooth roadways at high speed.

But, running this wide a tire (i.e., 275mm) on the front at higher speeds on expressways with “truck-dish” can be a little tricky. The wider front tire in this environment “grabs” at the irregular surface and keeps you “busy” keeping the car on-line. It’s a lot of work and one reason a more-narrow front tire makes sense depending upon the circumstances.

Would 265/30/19 be alittle better? I really don't want to go with 255/35/19 because I don't want any chance of the tire being stretched.

Im running 265/30/19 front and like the way the car drives - heavier steering over stock, but not too heavy at all.

The 275's will be fine with your offset , wide tires like to grab in the front or the rear , if you have them on one side , may as well have them on the other.
