Valve Stem question
Hi,
I have Black SSR SP1's on my Z, and the right rear wheel is clicking. My shop pulled the wheel, and said most likely that it is the valve stem. He said that there was a nut on the back of the stem that may have come undone, and that is where the noise is coming from.
He was hesitant to pull the tire off of the rim without having another valvestem in hand, so where would be the recommended place to pick one up?
Thanks for any help.

Who gave you that prognosis? Why would a valve stem nut click..
The z is known to have axle clicking problems.. I was warrantied a fix but it still does this so i just ignore it.. life goes on..

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Well I can only hear it on that tire. He even pulled the tire off the car, and you could shake it, and hear something bouncing around inside the tire.
He said that the valve stem had a locking nut on the back side of the rim that may have backed off, and that was probably what was making the noise rolling around as the tire rotated.
My car has had the work done for the axle click as well before I bought it (I seen the service ticket), but this is definately something inside the tire/rim.
Thanks for your response.

It is an Enthusiast trim, so do they come with TPMS? I know that I have no lights or indicators that tell me anything is wrong in that area, but this is also the first Z I have owned.
Thanks for all of the responses so far. I have been searching quite a bit now looking for any answer.
