I recently bought a set of used sf challenges that were gunmetal. I have been planning on buying the diamond black ones, but the deal i was offered for the gunmetal ones were too good to pass up so i took them. I was wondering if anyone has painted/powdercoated their sf challenges to make them a different color...and if you have, were you able to maintain the "volk racing" text and those little squares in the silver color that it comes in? i'm currently looking for a shop in socal that would be willing to do this. RB motoring says they only paint wheels and TWS says that the cost of changing the color while trying to maintain the details (the lettering and the squares) would be a lot (he didn't even want to give me a price quote). Any info/recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks. Here's a pic, even though everyone knows what they look like.

yeah, it's a bend...part of the reason why i got it for such a good price...but it's repairable, so it'll be like brand new soon! anyone out there have any info on the paint question?

i'm still trying to figure out how to get these rims painted black somehow...RB Motoring says they can take the color code from my car (magnetic black) and use that color to put on the rim. You guys think that'll look alright? Because no one seems to be able to actually get the "diamond black" color code.

they said i would have to put tape around all the text and squares by myself because it would take them too much time to do that. i have no problem doing that myself...so yea, i was thinking $70 wasn't a bad price either.
