Davidv read plz
Lol i thought id post here since you never reply to PMs.. Anyways, i remember in one thread, you posted a reponse to someone asking if adding spacers to their current setup would rub against fenders... You answered him and said to use something like a thick ring to measure, and keep adding until it rubs?... or something like that. Do you remember what is?
Thanks.
Thanks.
You can use large washers to simulate a spacer. Put a few on a couple of the studs then mount the wheel.
Don't drive on it like that though, you won't have enough thread engagement on the "shorter" studs.

Oh ok.
When i want to know whether the rear fender would rub against my wheel when adding spacers, can i just stick a ruler in on top of the tire and then kind of see if the ruler is straight with the rear fender? I could also measure the space i have while im at it too so i wouldnt have to use washers.

Figuring out if it rubs is a little tougher than that. When the suspension compresses, the wheels travel up and in, not just straight up. So a line drawn from the face of the wheel straight up that intersects with the fender edge might be okay.
camber also increases as load is put on the rim so you might have more clearance than you think.
you COULD use one of those online calculator thingies... they aren't perfect but will give you an idea. or draw a template.
if the washers cannot support the weight of the car, then they are useless IMO. maybe cut out a peice of wood and drill holes for the studs? I don't know, just thinking.
