dark wheels on silver alloy Z?
how popular (or overdone) is this setup? Having a silver car I think kinda limits the wheel selection and its hard to picture certain wheels on the car. So many wheels are silver and I feel that silver (even the stock 08 wheels) kinda get lost on the car because they're the exact same color.
I'm thinking primarily gunmetal, maybe some kind of hyper black.... maybe even Time Attack....
any thoughts or better yet, pictures??

BLACK is the way to go.
I have gunmetal now on mine and I wish it was darker. go black. satin black. you can see pics of my old wheel setup, this is the only one I have handy:

here are the new rims:

personally I don't like it. if you have other red accents it might work (brake calipers... seats, pinstripe maybe) but otherwise I wouldn't. all black looks ridiculous in person. the only problem is most pictures kind of suck with black wheels. you can't see all the detail.
I have black rims on my silver Z and love it..I am going for the whole black/silver theme...and am well on my way..will post pics in October when everything is done.

maybe gunmetal with a machined lip? or no lip? decisions decisions.... good thing I have until the spring to decide! (riding stocks until winter, getting 17" winter wheels/tires, and new summer wheels in the spring)
I absolutely HATE polished or silver lips of any kind with black or colored face rims. hate them.
the only thing to keep in mind (and something I didn't really count on) is how the color of the rims affects how the color of the car looks. gunmetal is a blue-ish gray and makes the silver appear more on the blue scale, then on the white side of the spectrum.
I am surprised no one else has posted pictures. there is an entire thread devoted to Chrome Silver cars you can check out.
