245 front / 285 rear
Is anyone out there running 245/35R19 front and 285/35R19 rear? I've been running the 275/35R19 on the rear, but the Tire Rack is out of them in the pole position and I was wondering if anyone has run the 245 and 285 combo. Are there any problems? It says you should really match up 255's with 285's, but the 245 Potenza Pole Position is a pretty wide 245 to start with. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Sweet guys, thanks a lot! I have the Pole Positions on the front, but the rears won't be Pole Positions, but oh well...same tread design. It's funny, my 275s look pretty good on the shoulders, but the inner tread is worn all the way down to the wear bars, which means they are legally bald. I was driving to work the other day in the rain and my car was so squirly because of that. When the Tire Rack says put your newest tires on the rear even on a front drive car, it's true. ha! Thanks for the input guys. Have a good weekend.

Would the same stand for 245/40/18 and 285/35/18. Fronts are 24/40/18 Toyos. I was planning on getting Nitto NT555R drag radials. But they do not make them in 275 in 18's. I was wondering if anyone was running a setup where the front tire was taller than the rear, and if this had any issues? Thanks.

Urgh nevermind.... I didn't think the combo would work, but I thought I would ask. But in doing some research, my suspicions were confirmed. Maybe I will just try 275/40/18 in front and 305/40/18 in the rear. Would it look wierd on 18" rims with front 9 " width +12, and rear 10. Or would it rub?

Ooops. Offset in front is +17 actually. Thanks for the input everyone. I am just wondering because I would like to only have to buy a rear set of drags. I don't want to spend cash on the fronts if the 245/40 or 275/40 would be able to used in the front.

I've got 19x10 ET24 and the ended up rubbing!!! Dang it! it's really minor and it's actually hitting right where there is a groove in the sidewall styling so it's cutting into it a bit. I think I can fix it with about 1/2 to 3/4 degree more negative camber...if not, a slight fender roll is in store.
