The first one is Konig Shadow (black). The other two are TenzoR. Most members on here will tell you to stay away from the Tenzo's due to them having the tendency to crack.

As mentioned above, the first wheel is Konig, last two are Tezno.

Eh, nobody on my old mazda6 ($24,000 car) forum had an issue with Tenzo or Konig, but here on my350z ($30,000 car) they are garbage.

Makes perfect sense to me

If you aren't running your Z on a track, I think the Tenzos and Konigs are fine.

My Axis's wheels are money. Wouldn't change to anything else.

I suppose that you recommend him to buy Volks.

Not to mention that being produced in Thailand automatically makes them shitty is one of the dumber things i have heard today.

Do not buy Konig. One of the originators of the cheap low quality blatant knockoff wheel.

i hate people that bash on wheels like konig, tenzo, and axis. in my opinion they are all good names. get what you want dont listen to these people that believe that volk is the only way to go. i mean seriously who needs to spend over 4 grand on wheels when they simply use their car for everyday driving.

I think this is similar to the HKS Xo2 battle. HKS guys say Xo2 is garbage just because it isn't as much money. High price doesn't equal high quality. (I'm not saying volks or HKS are not high quality, just saying you can get SIMILAR quality for less money.)

Not disagreeing, but not sure that's a great example since there have been a lot of reports of X02 rusting up quickly when used in all-weather climates. But my much more expensive 'stainless' exhaust tends to get tarnished too. Oh well, what are you gonna do. We can only fool mother nature so much, and the same applies to wheels.

I had a set of Arospeed wheels on my previous car. They looked good and they were inexpensive ($150 per wheel if I recall correctly). From what I can tell Arospeed basically makes knock-offs of knock-offs. I hit some serious pot holes and ruts and I was running 225/40/18 tires (only slightly more sidewall than a 245/35/19 front tire that is common around here), and I never cracked or bent a wheel over two years of daily driving.

It must have been a miracle.

My friend had Xo2 in New england, and his didn't rust too bad. No more than a normal exhaust. Just surface rust mostly.

With a knock off you won't get the same exact quality, but for about half the price, I'd sacrific a little quality.

Hit a bad pot hole...volk: bent axis: crack

either way I would replace it. So why spend that huge extra amount on the volk when the axis are just as good in most cases.

You're sooo right. No one should listen to people who have experienced problems with any of those brands, and hey, since it is the great mariar508's opinion that they are all good names then who is anyone else to refute that???

I too think that many here go overboard with bashing lower-rung brands, but your arguments are ridiculous. "In your opinion they all have good names"? WTF is that, what authority are you?

Look...the wheel brands you mentioned are fine economical wheels that, in general, are going to be of decent quality. If someone is happy with their purchase, that's really all that matters. But to completely ignore people's experiences and opinions defeats the entire purpose of this forum. Weigh the number of complaints (and their validity) against your budget and make a rational decision.

What you need to understand is that some people have higher standards, and you should be so lucky to be part of a community where a good number of its members feel so strongly about their cars that they deem them worthy of high-caliber and, at times, high-priced aftermarket parts. That being said, a set of Work XT7s, Nismos, Enkeis and many others offer great style and great quality at a very reasonable price. Hell, you could get a set of forged OEM Rays for under $1000 WITH TIRES.

As a sidenote, I would personally rather see someone with a set of Axis on some great tires than a set of Volks with crap rubber.

I mean really who needs to spend $30,000 on a 350Z when they simply use their car for everyday driving. Oh, wait...

Some people are more passionate than others when it comes to things that they spend their hard-earned money on. For you to b!tch and complain about this aspect, thread after thread, makes you no better than the guys who talk crap on people that buy anything other than Volks.
