They make adaptors like you mentioned, but I would have to find wheels with an 83+ offset or something ridiculous like that.

Go for the SSR's they look racy & exotic! I don't know where you live but if you drive your car in the snow or crappy pothole ridden roads, I would stick with the stock wheels. Reason being the stock wheels, although heavy, wont damage as easily in daily driving.
