Default 18x10 +42 offset. BAD OFFSET?

Hey guys,

I am looking around for some wheels and found one with 18x10 +42 offset. I believe that the offset is way to high, but since I am rather new to shopping for wheels, could someone tell me how this will fit on the Z? Will this have issues of sticking out too far and fender rubbing with certain size tires?

I have already checked the offset calculator and it says that it is

Inner clearance: 37mm LESS
Outer position: EXTEND an extra 13mm

THANKS!

it is should be:

offset is way to much you were right...that isn't a Z kind of wheel with a 10" tire anything with a +20 offset is where you want to be...take some time and search to find a setup you like that someone is running and mimic it

Thanks for the response.

This spec is for the rear wheels, but I guess the offset is still pretty darn high. I am guessing that this can be adjusted with a spacer, but I bet it is always better to just find a wheel with a better offset.

Anyone having problems running spacers (+20)?

I'm running 18x10 +18 in the rear and it's perfectly flush. I think it might be okay, but if you got 20 mm spacers, that would help.

I run 18x10.5 +20 in the rear with proper sized tires and required a roll. If you dont want to roll +20 on the close side, to +30 will be just fine.

I appreciate all the response. I think I will pass on this set of wheels and look for something that will fit correctly without a spacer. Thanks.

Great to see members using a offset calculator. The wheels are 37 mm closer to the brake caliper than the OEM wheel. It is also 37 mm closer to the strut housing. Not good.

Actually its just fine and should clear , the wheel face is the factor involved with caliper clearance. My wheels without the 10mm spacer are 32mm closer without even coming close to rubbing anything.

That's a horrible offset. Just pass on them.

Save your money and search for more aggressive wheels. Also make sure both front and rear are aggressive, I see a lot of people focusing too much on the rear that they ignore the front and the overall stance looks like a$$.
