Default Need Advice for Shipping My Volks!!!

ok so I sold my 19" volks w/ tires still on them. I sold them to a guy that lives in the same state but about 200 miles away. I'm wondering if I should try to get them shipped via freight, ups, or dhl. I would appreciate anyones input that has had experience shipping wheels. I also would like to knopw what I'm looking at spending. I'm hoping i can get them shipped for like 150 or less. As always any input is appreciated.

$150 should get all 4 shipped for you. When I parted out my previous car I shipped my wheels w/ tires mounted from PA to someplace in the south (South Carolina I think) and the charge was a little less than $40 per wheel if I remember correctly. Also I didn't put them in boxes, I sandwiched each wheel between two sheets of cardboard and taped the hell out of it so it wouldn't budge, and it protected the lips on the wheels.

If your wheels sold then you should update your sig : )

another way of securing them is to do the cardboard thing slike mentioned above, and use those plastic banding if you can get a hold of some.

i shipped my volk a little over a month ago. I shipped it from Ohio to Minnesota and it was about $43 a wheel. I shipped outside of a box just like they mentioned above. Its costs a little more to ship outside of a box but good luck trying to find boxes for your wheels. But i would think shipping within the same state should cost to ridiculously much. hope that helps

Meet halfway. Shipping a short distance + cost = bad outcomes...
Take responsibility and roughly 3 hours to meet your buyer. Will
improve you expected value in the short run.
