Default New guy with questions on black wheel ideas and size

Hey guys. I just wanted to introduce myself. I have an 06 touring convertible that i bought back in 06 but have done nothing to its black by the way. This week im getting a nismo cat back exhaust and intake put on. (cant wait) i want to get wheels and was looking at a lot but im having a hard time deciding. i want them to be glossy black with chrome lip. i want the lips to be big on front and back not big lip in back and small in front i want to make the front look close to the same as the back but still have offset. i would like 20's but i heard that it takes away from performance. i like it cuz it closes the gap and you dont have to lower cuz the car is pretty low already. any ideas for wheels would be appreciated. ill let you know how the exhaust and intake go. super excited.

I had to read it twice to understand it. He wants big lips on both the front and back wheels, and he wants the lip sizes to be just about the same front and back. What he doesn't want is a smaller lip up front, bigger lip in the rear.

I'm not sure I can recommend anything.

Welcome. There are plenty of wheel photos here and in the color galleries. Pick wheels that you like.

I get it... and understand what you want. Your idea is pretty much what I've been looking for (I have a 2003 Redline Performance model).

Look at this for a good buy for what you are asking for:

Having 20in wheels WILL slow you down (I own a set). However if its for daily driving then does it really matter? If you dont plan on going to the track then dont empty your bank account on wheels. You also have a roadster so its already a little heavier, so I wouldnt limit myself to just 19's if I were you...the above wheels look sweet btw.

Not everyone has the need for speed. Relax, if you dont have any positive input then just stay out of the thread. (I mean this in the kindest way possible)

IMO the best mix of style and comfort is a 19' wheel for the Z. I happen to have an 06 roadster and chose the Volk GT-7, black face with a polished lip. If you want to go with a balance matching the front and rear lips with the same size lip, a really good choice is the SSR Professional. Good price, great looks, staggered lip.
