Default New rims, need advice on tires size

I bought a set of gram light R57GT from Andy, the size are 20x9.5 +25 / 20x10.5 +20. Andy recommended me 255/30 and 285/30 or 255/35 and 285/35. Just curious what othes think about tires size, I kinda like the lambo /porches style. I am pretty noob when it comes to tires size, especially this is my first sets of 20’s. I expected to have my fenders slightly rolled but nothing crazy.

thanks

Can you provide a side view picture of your car? What type of suspension setup,
springs? coils? I don't think you'll need a roll without spacers.

yes you can run that wide with alot of fender rolling and trimming of some bits i have 315 on a 9in wide wheel but its a 17" wheel not a 19 youd be close with a 35 series

You should disclose a little bit more information when you quote your 315 tire on a 17x9 wheel. i.e. that it is not for a daily driven set-up.

I would use a tire calculator: http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

Call me old fashioned.

To be honest, the 20s are out of my area of expertise. I only quote what I've had experience with, and since I know that the 275/30/19s on the front of my Z were snug, I don't have confidence that the taller sidewall (275/35) combined with the taller wheel (20" vs 19") is going to fit.

As for the rears, same deal. I know my 305/30/19s fit nice and cleanly, but would only be speculating on if the 315/35/20 would fit without rubbing at a +22 offset. My inclination is to say that it won't, but I've seen people squeeze crazy set-ups in awe. I suggest you pick up a cheap 20" tire or two from Ebay or CL and test-fit before you spend big money on tires if you want to go outside of Andy's recommendations.

To stay in spec, you want 255/30/20 & 285/30/20. That's what everyone should be running on 20" wheel combos that are 9-9.5" front and 10-11" rear. The only exception would be if you're savage offsets and need to run aggressively stretched tires, or conservative offsets to fit really wide tires.
