you have got to be ****ing kidding me.

Those 5zigens have been and always will be an abomination perpetrated on car owners everywhere.

the Volk TE37 is a classic and is WORLDS above the 5zigen.

I wouldn't stop to help if I saw a 5ZR lying bleeding to death in a street. I would jump in front of a bus to save a TE37 from even getting a scratch.

Those are your final two options? it's like choosing between Jessica Beil and Rosie O'Donnell. that is how ridiculously mismatched your choices are.

(ok, you get the point. just get the Volks so you don't look like an idiot driving your car around.)

interesting question...

both are forged, and from that seller relatively similarly priced.

however with the 5zigen being chromed, which i dont like, i'd go with the Volks.

the 5zigens will look better when spinning due to the finish, but at a stop- the volks imho look better and i like the concavity of the spoke design vs the convex look of the 5zigens.

the most aggressive offset is the 5zigens. it's be pushed out furthest, and will need a rear fender roll if you're lowered alot. with the +22 volks, you can run a 275 rears w/ no roll (with oem height or slight drop. probably up to 1/2"), or 285+ with a roll.. however u can probably run even wider tires with the racing harts since its a +28 rear, but if you dont have the power to spin then, no real point going that way.

since you like the 5 spoke design, look at the Volk GTS or GT-Cs as well.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

You can't be serious. There is no choice here. Frankly you should only
be considering volks or works. The question is, which wheel type?

Perhaps you can come up with something truly original for a z/g such as
bee racing wheels or gulfflames... next

dont an idiot lgear, ppl have different tastes and want to explore.
and obviously you know nothing about wheels.......

here is a Z with 5zr, looks pretty good.

more on a silver Z:
http://www.wheelsworld.com/45-5_Zige...om-Wheels.html

I think the 5zr is more of a grown up classy look while the volks, they look good, but kind of boy racer.... and as common as a honda civic.

dont listen to motormouth either, i dont think he even has a Z...

Volk fanboi's to the rescue again. Pick which wheel you like most. Both are quality pieces.

those are nice. I would go with the non-black edged version though.

axis makes a knockoff though.

I have personally seen all 4 of the hyper 5zr for roughly $1000 or less
on ebay in prime fitments. Not trying to dumb anything down here. I have
owned 4 sets of aftermarket wheels for the Z, and seen thousands.
Ultimately I just don't think there are a lot to choose from... didn't
mean to come off as a complete ***

dude, buy what you like. there are too many wheel snobs around here to suggest anything that isn't volks/rays/work etc. not everyone has to roll on the same stuff, get what YOU like, and don't worry about a brand name image.

I'm finding conflicting information about the 5Zigen Hyper 5ZR wheel. Some sources say they are cast, some sellers are indicating they are forged. The only weight I could quickly find for this wheel (cast) was in 18x7.5, which weighed in at an ungodly 25#, which is a lot for that size.

I like the 5ZR styling and it's something you don't see everyday.

Hmm. you're right. i just asked my friend that used to work at 5Zigen USA.
he's saying they are CAST ..

i was just reading what the ebay details are stating.

if that's the case. for that price he's paying. i'd get the forged Rays wheels.

honestly man all i can say is get what you will be happiest with. i tried compromising on wheels and bought some i thought i would be happy with but i regreted buying them bc they werent what i wanted.... if you want the 5zigens then get them, if you want the volks go for it.. im running goodyear kdwII's and i like how my car handles with them but they make my z sound like im driving a lifted 4x4 with meaty offroad tires...
