http://www.mx6.com/forums/racing-for...ght-guide.html

this site lists the 17x10 at 18.9 lbs

Fikse ARO Forged/Spun 17x10 18.9

You may want to research before you start just throwing numbers around.

so add about 1/2 pound for the increase in diameter of an inch and 1 lb for width of an inch.

that comes out to about 20.5 lbs per rim + tires.

I fear he is a troll as I suspected.

I agree. Even these wheels for the lotus that are only 16" are heavier than 7 lbs (they are a little over 8 lbs for just the front and 11 lbs for the rear).

hahahaha you must be super strong to not even notice a difference between 7 pounds and 20+ pounds. You must have NOS in your blood.

There's no way they'll weight 7 pounds without being made from CF or Magnesium. Weight your wheels and tires again, then look up how heavy the tires are and sutract that. You wheels should be in the 18-25lbs range.

Wouldn't that make your car float though? Especially with only 7lb wheels holding it on the ground

7 or 17 or 27 pounds no big deal. Take it in stride. You violated a couple of unwritten rules:

The gonna-get thread. Gonna-get is very exciting but not to other members. Post photos of what you got. Other members may be inspired and ask for help.

Cool by association or mybuddysgot. i. e. 1,300 horsepower Supra. Which BTW we cannot verify and could care less.

I love it! The whole forum gets together for the holidays to pounce on some tool! Feels like Christmas.

Oh, and the Carbon fiber wheels (Weld, I think) weigh in at what? 6.8 pounds? No way in hell those wheels are even close. Congrats to the forum on another successful calling BS and a possible teenage suicide.
