Hey people. i just put on a new set of Volk GT-30s 19inchers on my Z. offsets are +17, +18. now every time i turn and accelerate or ride lightly bumpy roads i hear the rear tires rubbing. i have an 03 with 80000 miles so i was wondering if you think the suspension or springs are out, or should i adjust the toe of the rears or just suck it up lol. anyone riding with 275 35 19s have this problem?

Did you roll the fenders?

 

The tires rubbing is no big deal. What's important is that it looks cool.

ive read others posts who said they had the same setup with no fenders rolled or rubbing issues...so was wondering specifically about my suspension or lack of it. BTW it does look freakin awesome!!..dont know why there arent more GT-30s out there. the fact i have my tpms sensors in there is a HUGE +

 

What suspension are you using? Is your Z lower than factory height? If so, how much? What are your camber specs? Is it rubbing at all 4 corners?

All of these things play a direct factor in the issue you are experiencing, while others may not have experienced issues, you may based on that criteria, even with the same car and same wheels (with the same offset).

Never the less, those are pretty aggressive offsets.

 

If ain't low enought if it don't rub. Good job OP just roll those fenders now.

 

+1 on all points. More Information is needed in pin pointing your issue. Thats doesnt seem like an extreme offset.

 

dud, i rubbed on +22 until i rolled my fenders. i am kind of low.....

And based on the local guy I mentioned, it seems like you can run the 275/35/19 on +18 offset without rubbing in the rear, without rolling fenders. Totally depends on your camber specs then.

 

Not all 275s fit the same, so what tires do you have?

Or, just roll your fenders.

I also wonder if car is lowered about 1.5 inches, little or factory spec camber and rolled fender will still rub with those offsets and tires..

What is your camber and how low do you sit? I want to run +17, +18 but think I may have to run stretch tires, which i personally dont like too much and i also want to stay close to factory camber specs. I dont think thats achivable even with rolled fenders but i am not sure. May be some wheel-tire gurus here can clarify for me.

 

Is your rear wheels 10.5?
