Glad to hear that your all-square tire setup using the front tire diameter is working flawlessly.
I had problems with my 2003 VDC-equipped Z (Performance model) with this all-square setup (tire diameter matching stock fronts).
I had better results with an all-square setup running tires with diameters matching the stock rear tire size (instead of the front diameter)

Hankook vs. Blizzak winter tires
So it's time for me to throw a set of winters on. I've seen a lot of folks on the forum praise Blizzak, but haven't heard much about the hankook alternatives. Right now I've narrowed my options to:
Blizzak LM60 at $250 each
Hankook W310 at $215 each
Does anyone have experience with both of these options on the Z? I wonder if the Blizzak quality is superior enough to warrant the price gap. I don't mind dropping the money since I know it's going to protect my car as I continue to use it as a daily driver for the next 3 months of possible snow and ice. Any input is appreciated, and I apologize if this was already covered. I couldn't find any existing discussion.

Blizzak line has a dual-layer compound; the outer layer is very soft, open-cell design. The one below it is an all-season compound. What's the winter like at your area ? The outer layer wears fast in dry and wet conditions regardless of temperature. It's more suitable for snowy and icy conditions.
Where I live, the winters are considered mild. Lower temperatures, snow fall is low to medium, and ice forms only a few times a year. My winter tires are the cheapest in the size range, higher-speed rated, and have only single compound.
