Default will 225/45/17 fit?? please help

my current stock wheel/tire 225/50/17 front and 235/50/17 rear, but found a good deal on a set of snow tires all four 225/45/17, will this fit my stock wheel? any downside to using this size? thanks

Will it fit? Yes

Might mess up TCS.

Should work fine, but I would run a 50 series for a little more ground clearance.

225/40-17" won't work properly.

The worst problem happens if your car has VDC. TCS and ABS won't work correctly with this size.

the size is 225/45//17 not 225/40/17.

As I mentioned, they will work. But as Spike mentioned can cause TCS/VDC problems, but I suspect those systems will be turned off for driving in the snow. Spike should be able to answer a bit better than me on the winter driving aspect.

My fault …typo…

225/45-17” is quite short for the rear which a 225mm on a 17” wheel should be 225/55-17”

i decided to go with the 225/50 instead because i dont want to mess up anything and higher ground clearance would be better. thanks for all the replies.
