I didn't mean to step on your toes Jetpilot, you just never answered my question with how you knew it wouldn't work. You saying what you said really stopped me dead in my tracks and put me into a panic with ording these wheels. Like I said you're a reliable sorce and no one over there seems to have any info with an 18x11 wheel. Doing the math with your setup really makes sense that they would rub. Not arguing, they probably will rub and I will consider a setup that won't have the risk.
I probably wouldn't lower the car as much as you.... modest if anything. I just planned from the start to get with a good body shop to make it work. I already know Sound Performance is pretty good at rolling.
I'm just new to the Z fitments and want to get a good starting point for tight fitment so minor mods will be needed.

If you take one thing away from this thread, as Larry has correctly hinted at, you can't really make a judgement as to "will it rub/won't it" without talking about the SPECIFIC tire. Some tires run wide, some run narrow, within a given size. These differences can be significant. This differential is often enough to mean the difference between rubbing and non rubbing. Your starting camber/toe, and the resulting camber/toe you get after you lower it will also play a role.
It also depends on what you want the car to look like. The pics Andy posted are very telling. Some will love how that looks, and for those people, then go ahead and follow the lead. For others, you may not like the wheel sticking past the fender and the stretched tire on it. All your own personal preference.
The answer? You either take a chance, put it on, and if it fits it fits, or if not, you spend the additional money and time to make it fit, or you go with something more conservative.

it should work no problem

with a 295/35/18 with 18x11 with 25 offset same as a 275/40/18 on a 9.5" rim with a +5 offset
