Default Want to get Work Meister S1 3 piece, need help!

Hey guys, I want to get the Work Meister S1 3 piece wheels but I want a deep dish lip in the back and a nice lip in the front. I have seen very wide wheels on the Nissan 350z but what would fit comfortably and have a really aggressive fit into the engine bay of a Nissan 350z? I have seen 305 width tires but what would work best with a 19" diameter rim for our cars? I was hoping for at least 11" wide rim in the rear, let me know. Thanks!

19x9.5 +23 19x11 +24 is a common size

305's will require fender rolling/minor pulling at nominal camber range out back

Are 285s manageable without fender rolling? I'm debating if I want to go wide body or keep a clean look.

it depends..there is no single "yes/no" fender rolling answer - depends on alignment specs, how low the car is, etc

count on rolling them anyway...it's not a big deal to do, not expensive and ensures you wont have any issues

No fender roll?
The only way you can do a 295-305 is with a 19 by 10.5 +23 offset rear wheel and a touch of camber.

Just a simple fender roll opens you up to so many options.
Nissan finally rolled the rear on their 370z...so why not?

Great, can you get them with a gold finish and a polished silver lip and silver rivets? I think that would go sick with a PPW 350z.

You can run 305s on the rear withOUT a fender roll, regardless of what Z1Performance has stated. 18s or 19s don't matter, just need the right offset. It can be done with a bit more offset, in the +28 range, on a 10.5" wheel at stock camber, and can be lowered.

Min size rec'd for a 305 is 10.5". Anything below that and you're on your own (although many people do it with less wheel, one can judge on their own if the tire bulges and if there are safety concerns). I'm not familiar with the wheel sizes/offsets offered for S1s you're interested in, but am offering advice simply based on wheel specs. For example, for a nice lip, you could run an SSR GT3 19x10.5 +43 with a 10 or 15mm spacer (although the spacer is NOT necessary) and a 305 tire complemented with a 19x9 or 19x9.5 front wheel with a 265 or 275 tire.

My comment about the 305's was specifically with regard to the size/offset I posted about (19x9.5 +23 19x11 +24) . I referneced these sizes because its what the OP originally said he wanted (as far as the rear width). It also matters the specific tire you are referring to, as not all tires have the same physical dimension, and can vary substantially. However, on the specific offset/width I mentioned, any brands 305 tire is going to rub, there just is no way around it. Thankfully, rolling fenders is neither difficult, nor costly, nor detrimental if executed properly, so it's really should be a non issue for those trying to achieve a certain look. The best analogy I can give is that tires are like shirts...some are made "fuller" than others, just like the Large from one store doesn't fit the same as the large from another store. That's why there is never any single magical answer for every car, there are too many variables for there to be absolutes unless you compare exactly the same specific set/heights/alignment specs from one car to another.

Agreed and understood. Here's a good data point: 305/30/19 RE050As are about 1/2" wider than 305/30/19 PS2s.

285s will most likely look stretched on an 11" wheel. This is an opinion, of course, but I think that 275s look stretched on a 10.5, so the 285s would look the same on an 11.

285/35/19 on a 19x11" wheel does have a stretched look. I use BFG KDW which are "fuller" than most tires and it still has a stretched look
