Default question about ft tire feathering..is anyone still having problems?

I noticed that when I first started reading my 350Z which was fall 2002, many people were having tire feathering problems on their front tires. In fact, some people actually said they were going to sell their Z because Nissan was not solving the problem and they would not buy new ft tires every 5K. Now, I have not seem others complain about it nor have i noticed others that use to have the problem say what is the status of that issue.

Have any Z owners had tire feathering problems lately? I got 2800 miles on my Z (built Nov 2002) and it does not show any feathering yet.

I still have it; the dealer switched the front tires(as the first documented step in addressing the issue, in accord with the TSB).
I noted deterioration in handling within 3-4 weeks from this maneuver (no surprise). I've delayed a return visit, in the hope that a better solution can be found. This is my daily driver, w/9500 mi. I thought I saw the suggestion of an alignment adjustment in an earlier post, but haven't checked back.
Anyone know of a more definitive solution?

Post my experience

I had tire feathering start such that the noise became noticeable at around 6K miles. I lived with it until 11K when I had the TSB performed which aligned the front toe-in and swapped tires left to right. Not surprisingly, the swap did not do any good since the tires had well advanced feathering so the noise was still there. I asked for new front tires from my dealer, who happily complied, though they were back-ordered and I did not receive them until the car had 13K miles. I am now at 18K+, (5K on the replacement front RE-040s), and am happy to report that so far, there is NO return of the feathering nor rumbling noise. Note that my car is a very early production s/n.

Yes! I have 16,000 miles. Reported problem to dealer at 11,000 mile service. "Master Tech" not available and requested I delay them looking at it until 15,000 mile service. They looked and scheduled appointment to perform service in accordance with TSB on 9/5/2003. Have talked to Michelle at 800-Nissan1. Case filed. She has requested I call her during and after TSB is performed. Dealer as advised me that tires need replacing under warranty. Michelle will talk to "Master Tech" on 9/5/2003.
