I'm not sure which tire makes less road noise.
The least noisy tires I’ve run that are Dunlop snow tires.
I’m sure that is not the answer you were looking for.
I’ve run three different summer-performance tires (stock Bridgestone, Avon and Goodyear), and the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 was by far more quiet than the others.

I pulled out the DB meter tonight radio off, ac off, windows up and at 75mps on smooth road and medium wind it was pushing 95dbs in my car, peaks at 98.

+1 on the Nitto Invo's. They're advertised for their low noise and I agree fully. I got about 6k on my fronts and they still look like new. Just slapped on my second set on the rear ( lots of time at auto-x ). Don't know if you plan on auto-x or not, but they are a decent tire at the track as well. I'm just a crappy driver and can't keep the rear end behind the front end.

So far they're ok, but I don't think it would be as quiet as those Nitto Invos. But the price for these are awesome with great reviews. Anything is better then those damn freaking kdw2's,what mic did you use to test your db or what did you use? I think I'll do the same.

Just bought a set of the General Exclaim UHPs and they are by far the most quiet and smooth riding tires I have had including Potenzas, Pilot Sports and Goodyear F1 GS D3s

would you have rather stayed with the invos and not the 452's. . .? I'm about to purchase the invo's for the front and do away with the 452's in the rear once they wear down. . .

I currently have Pirelli Rosso tires and while they were brand new they were quiet, now they are at 40 or less percent and they got really loud specially when decreasing speed. I read lots of reviews and did a search for 3 days on tires. I decided to go for the Michellin PS2 because they are not as loud as other tires, tread life is very, very good. Im running 19's btw!

Yes i would rather have Invo's, the 452 is a good tire, but less traction, narrower, and louder

The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 is very quiet, but suffers from a soft sidewall (that results in slightly “wiggly” handling). If you want a better tire that runs with little noise and has a moderately stiff sidewall for better performance, your choice is the Michelin PS2.
