Default Quietest tires you have ran on the Z?

Just looking for the quietest tires that still perform great for the Z. I have kdwII's and im still hoping to run over a bunch of nails in a parking lot or something, would that be claimable on insurance lol, or just destroy them so i have to get new ones. I hate these tires with a passion they sound like 38'' super swampers. They still have about 70% life left so its hard for me to spend another 800 to 1000 for new tires with that much life left.

Let me know what you've ran and how you liked them, and how quiet they were thanks.

So far, the General Exclaim UHP's are the quietest for me.

I don't exactly have experience because I still have the factory Potenza's on mine.

But I ride all the time in my cousins 04 G coupe which he just purchased a few months ago. His car came with Goodyear Eagle tires and let me tell you those ****'s are LOUD! Every time he comes to a stop the tires make this insane humming sound inside the car. He's always complaining..

I am running Hankook Ventus EVO on the rears/ Will put 2 on the front here shortly. I love them. Quieter than the Direzza's and Toyo's I've owned.

Nitto INVO, they were designed to be quiet. Kinda a lux performance tire.

The thing i hate about these threads is that people give biased opinions based on what tire they are currently using. Their tire may be absolute garbage and they will still give fake comments just to make themselves feel more satisfied with their purchase..

also, when most tires are brand new, they are somewhat decently quiet. i like to hear some tires that still are quiet after some good miles are put on them.

also, i think OP is running 19 in tires as well, so a review on the same size tire would be more helpful.

35k miles on the Invo's when i swapped to the current 452's. They stayed quiet the whole time. I needed times right then and there, couldn't wait to order prefured tires in.

Look at other reviews of that tire.

i'm at 40%. imagine that. the humming is unbearable when coming to a stop. i actually thought my wheel bearings were messed up but nissan checked and said they were all fine and it was just the tires.

Invo do ride very quiet but they were also pretty brand new when i rode in it. these are my next tires though.

I can't hear anything from any of the tires I've ever used inside the car. I'm confused as to the comments about loud noise from tires. I have used the stock tires, Nitto 555's and now Toyo T1R's. It seems like something must be wrong (alignment or need rotation or something) if you can hear the tires over your engine/exhaust noise.

i owned both the nt555 and the t1rs as well. the nitto was pretty quiet, the t1r was decent until i put some miles on it.

try googling kdw2 tire noise, i know me and get zwole aren't the only ones.

^^^ nope they are terrible My alignment is in spec with a tad bit of neg. camber. Not even enough to wear differently. Its not a problem its just the piece of **** tires. When i bought them i heard a few people say they were a little louder then stock. hahahaha They are louder then my dads dually with grapplers on each tire and thats 6 tires total lol. I hate them, i woudlnt recommend them at all.

you're going to get alot of mixed reviews, with, I suspect, nearly every tire under the sun being named

On second thought, I can't hear much of anything in my car.

1. TT with 3" exhaust and test pipes
2. Loud stereo directly behind seat facing forward
3. Convertible with top down 95% of the time

I'm not a good person to chime in, I suppose.

I'm not sure which tire makes less road noise.

The least noisy tires I’ve run that are Dunlop snow tires. I’m sure that is not the answer you were looking for.

I’ve run three different summer-performance tires (stock Bridgestone, Avon and Goodyear), and the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 was by far more quiet than the others.

I can vouch for the BFG KDW2's being extremely noisy. Switched to Kumho Ecsta SPT's now, still breaking em in.

^^
My brother has Kumho Ecsta Spt's on his car (he drives an RX8) and they have excellent tread wear. He has about 30k miles on them so far and they still look in good shape. They ride just the same as my Potenza's except I would say they are slightly louder, barely noticeable though. He paid $98 per tire back then and they are probably the best tires for the money..
