OP I agree with you 100%. I won't be buying wheels b/c the 18" factory wheels are great. I'm actually ordering 25mm spacers tomorrow for all around and next month I'll be doing my suspension. I know you said you're from the DC area but the roads are equally as bad here. (I've spent pretty much time in DC). As long as you're careful you won't have a problem with an average drop. IMO

(BTW: I have an 05 but I bought a set of wheels off an 08)

Check it out: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...tock-rims.html

The guy with the Daytona Blue Z on the 3rd page is the exact stance I want. Looks beautiful for a (essentially) factory car.

Yeah, I've actually read that thread! I ordered mine already, Wednesday morning. Kics 25mm for the front and 30mm for the read.

I'll be honest with you, I have a 07 grand touring roadster and I really feel like the car is lower then most other 350z models. I'm excited to see how the spacers will look on my ride specifically. I am going to take many before and after pictures.

I've been meaning to ask someone about this. I was planning on getting the Version 2 Ichiba spacers. Those are the set that have the studs in them, so you don't have to put them in yourself. However, do our factory wheels have the little holes on the back of the wheel if the factory studs stick out slightly past the spacer?

If that makes any sense at all. Do you know what I'm talking about? Lol. Also, where did you get your set of Kics and how much?

Just order them from HR Autoparts here on the board. The kics that I got have the studs built in too.

Hi. I think it’s more of a factor with the type of tire than the offset.

I’m speaking from personal experience. My summer-performance tires do not throw much (any?) debris (just water from wet roadways), but my studless snow tires are really bad about this. So much so that I changed my winter setup, going to a 35 offset with 225’s to keep the tires "tucked." The softer compound and deep cleats in the studless snow tires did a good job sand-blasting the sides and rear quarter panels of my Z.

I don’t think you will have a problem with summer-performance tires and an aggressive wheel-setup, and I doubt that lowering the car will make any difference.

It seems to me that I would constantly be dealing with the front tires throwing dirt, sand, mud, whatever down the side of the car with an aggressive setup. But in the same sense, so many of you run aggressive setups and I wouldn't think you guys would be putting your paint in harms way.

What’s the deal with this?

if you are worried about your paint...why not invest in the 3m clear film?

Well. I'm not worried now after starting this thread and hearing FIRST HAND what to expect (that’s what the thread was about). 3m on the skirts and doors? I've seen it on the hood, mirrors and front bumper. But I guess it can be applied to anything. Anyways, thanks for the suggestion but I'm good on that.

I live in Manassas too, I cant wait to lower my Z. There's another PPW roadster, I saw by Liberia Avenue. I flashed my headlights at him, but I think he had different wheels. Maybe it was you? lol

That was me! A couple weeks ago on the 14th or 21rst. Looked like you had a passenger. I was riding solo with the top down and flashed my lights back.

I just took off my wheels and put back on my stockies. I was like nooo!! hahaha small world! I knew it was another tuner, cause you flashed back...that usually fails when I try that.

I use to go there a lot, a couple years ago with a bunch of friends. I went last summer, but usually not later into the night. I actually passed there Saturday night around 7-9 pm and there were no spots available haha. I haven't seen it like that in awhile, but I ended up finding out a bunch of my friends were out there. I was out with the girl and the daily driver haha. what about you?

I was there on Saturday evening while the muscle cars were heading out and the kids heading in. Made friends with a guy who had his red 97GTS out. I didn't hang around very long, he pretty much told me Friday night was the better night for the tuners, Saturday daytime was muscle (which I knew), and that kids come hang out Saturday night but the nicer tuners are out on Friday. I just moved to Manassas in Dec so I haven't ever been down there besides last Saturday.
