Default Maya Wheel Advise

I'd like chrome wheels and a local shop is pushing the Maya brand, DTM model. The rep recommends that I go to 19X8.5 front and 19X10 rear. That means I have to buy tires also. Wheels for $3800 and Tires $1600=$5400! I go to discount tire and they have a Fittialoi Force chrome wheel and Falken Azenis tires (OEM size) for $2,048. I realize the Maya's are top end but that's a big difference in price. Thoughs?

Maybe they are forged?

Yes, they are three piece forged. Understand it's apples and oranges on quality. I just want a good looking chrome wheel without breaking the bank and utlizing the stock tires. I plan on buying Kumo's for the track, utilizing the stock wheels.

Maya is just the DAZZ name to hike the price up another 200 per rim for the center caps. The real manufacture name of those rims are TrafficStar. Go to http://www.value-caraudio.com and send an email to Mike for his prices on the TrafficStar DTM. They probably be about only $500 a rim. Then buy the tires from either Discount Tires or TireRack. I got my Bridgestone S-03s (2) 245/35/19 and (2) 285/30/19 for $1080 out the door.

Now does that sound more reasonable to work with...

Also checkout www.importhookup.com

I think they have a special going on with the Trafficstar DTM rims right now. I think it's like 2350 a set /w tires, I don't remember.

Damm that price is high, if you want I got my wheels from Racing Zone in Orlando, fl and it was only $2900.00 for 19x9 and 19x10.5 without tires for my Z Maya DTM Chrome. If you want you can email him at Racingzone3@aol.com

NismoZ33, can't thank you enough. I got in touch with Brian at the Racing Zone and he quoted me $2850 for the Maya DTM chrome, $3800 with Nitto NT/555 tires. My local shop had dropped to $4700 (cash) with Dunlop SP9000 tires. They were negative about the Nitto's (BTW, they don't carry them). I think I have them on the run--because they started the net order bashing routine. However, I told them $1,000 is to much of a delta and it's worth the risk for me to order from the Racing Zone. I'll need to line up a local tire place to mount them. Could mount them at home but my wife would go through the roof on spending more money on my Z.
