Help with tires
Im currently running Goodyear Eagle GS-D3 f1's all around. My back tires are past the tread indicator. So its time for new shoes. My issue is my front tires are still at 60% life and I cannot find anyone who carries the GS-D3 in a 235/50/17 It doesn't look like GY is making them anymore. Im still on stock rims and don't really want to spend over 1k on rims unless i get them used with rubber (scouring the marketplace). Would i be ok getting a similar tire to replace the rear shoes or am I out of luck. Goodyear makes this now but its all season and i dont think i can mix it with summer performance tires.. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...il.do?pc=30029
Help me out if you guys don't mind.
Thanks

i just saw that I can get the GS-D3's in a 255/45 size what would happen if i paired them with my front tires being 225/50 ? I dont have VDC and am in a base 04.. btw but dam they cost like $250 a piece shipped maybe buying used/rims and tires is my best bet?

a 255 will not fit a 17" OEM rear wheel. Will be too big and overlap. BTW, there are other brands of tires out there. you need to shop around and find the proper ones to fit your wheels.
any of these combos should do well for your OEM tires

I am just looking for a rear tire that matches the compound and tread of a gs-d3 f1 tire as they don't make the rear size anymore and i have this type tire upfront which still has alot of tread left.

I would rather run Eagle F1 All Season than some crummy Nitto or Avon so called "performance" tire.
^^ Something I notice is that that Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season runs more quietly and is more comfortable than the the Eagle F1 GS-D3 .
I guess I've never considered running summer performance tires with all season tires, but in this case both are from the same manufacturer and have a similar tread design.
I wonder... just might work.
