Default What size tire with 18x7.5/18x8.5

Just got back from the dealer and told them no on the 18x7.5 wheels all around.

I'm thinking of ordering the Ace Zeus in Polished 18.

What size Falken FK451 should I get if I have 18x7.5 wheels on the front and 18x8.5 in the back. I know there's been a lot of discussion about not differing too much from the factory setup but I'm really bad a calculating the various sizes.

I was thinking of
245/40/18 on the front
255/45/18 in the rear

Will that work? I'm such a newbie at the tire converision thing and the calculator link from the FAQ doesn't work.

Will the above setup cause any speedo inaccuracy? Any opinions of the Ace Zeus wheels? The dealer just gave me an Ace catalog to look through and they caught my eye. Never seen a pic of a Z with them on.

well with 8.5 in the rear i can't fit 275 right? So what would be the optimal tire sizes if I have 18x7.5 in the front and 18x8.5 in the rear? Thanks so much

Are you dead set on those wheels? If not, you should try and get some wheels that are wider in both the front and the rear.....at least by a 1/2 inch.

Anyway, if you're gonna stick with 7.5 and 8.5 then the tire sizes you're looking at should be

225/45/18
255/40/18

Thanks so much Stone Z. Are you recommending wider because you think that they'll look funny or just room to grow?

With 225/45/18 and 255/40/18 will my speedo, abs, and tcs be ok?

Well, the offsets on the wheels you're considering aren't really Z friendly to begin with. You're gonna end up with wheels that are tucked in further than the stock rims. Secondly, the *ideal* tire size for the rear is 265/40/18 which requires at least a 9 inch wide rim in the rear.

Your speedo, abs, and tcs should be just fine.
