I am reviewing the Nitto INVO tires, which were used on my daily driven twin turbo 04 G35 coupe. When it comes to performance I will not settle for anything but the best. I have gone through many tire manufacturers in an effort to find a set that offers the best of all worlds. Unfortunately, most of the time, you need to sacrifice road comfort, tread life, noise, etc. for the performance that you desire.
Initial thoughts:
The revolutionary tread design on this tire is astonishing. The different bands of the tire really make it unique. The sleek and uncluttered sidewalls with just the INVO logo look simple yet effective, all of the markings can be read.
Hope for the tires:
1. Surpass all other tires in dry performance
2. Perform well to good in wet conditions (Florida is underwater half of the year)
3. Maintain stability during hard cornering
Findings:
I have really put the Nitto INVO tires to the test. Nitto definitely has a great tire to compete with other premium performance manufacturers. The sacrifice of comfort to performance seems to be very minimal, and to top it off road noise is minimal.
Dry performance straight line:
Holding traction with 400+ hp is not an easy task for any tire. Typically first and second gear has trouble holding traction with out feathering the throttle.
I am pleased to say this is not so in regards to the INVO tire. First gear is never going to have real traction with out going to some form of a racing compound, but second gear chirps instead of the usual screaming. The traction has greatly improved over past tires. I can not wait to get to the drag strip to see how much time I can shave with them.
Dry performance cornering:
The stiffer sidewall construction really helps out here, you do not feel as much of the tire flex as in others. This will greatly improve the corner speeds in which you can push your vehicle. My car also felt more responsive and predictable. Even when the rear end slides, you know what is happening. The contact patch feels very planted, providing very stable traction.
Wet performance:
While it has not rained much in south Florida as of late, but from the little bit that we have had it does not seem to be phasing the performance or braking capabilities of the tire.
Overview and thoughts:
This is the best street tire on the market in my opinion; your sacrifices are minimal to non-existent. The performance that is bundled into them both dry and wet is phenomenal. The comfort and low noise generated is perfect for a daily driven car. The unique tread pattern really sets the tire apart and the performance keeps it on the high pedestal. This will be a tire that I plan on using again and again. Nitto really delivered the whole package with this one.

just to add to the op's comments, i bought the invos and have had them for a short period of time(1000miles). I agree with all of his comments and am very pleased thus far with the tire. I will check in was i get a track day in with them.
I guess my previous post was accidentally deleted... so I'll post again.
Could you list the tires you have had and your comparison between these and them?
I have Potenza RE050A Pole Positions, and am looking for a nice tire that is equal, if not better, in performance with a not-so-big price tag.

I don’t own Nitto INVO’s, and have little experience with the tire. I’ve briefly driven two different cars with the INVO’s (neither was a Z) on a dry day and a wet day. Based upon my very limited experience, I wasn’t impressed. It’s a very average tire (not bad…not great)
The best feature of these tires is the rigid sidewall that provides a great feel in the corners. I didn’t like driving it on wet roadways (it definitely slips around compared to other tires I’ve owned). I thought the tire was fairly noisy, but provides a comfortable ride (in spite of its stiff sidewall).
Just so you know how I base my comparison, right now I’m running Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 (245/40-18"F and 245/45-18"R). With my brief exposure to the INVO’s, I would say the Eagles run more quietly and about as comfortably, and grip better on wet roadways. The downside of the Eagle’s is the soft sidewall that feels a little wiggly to me when cornering. The Toyo TR1 feels very similar to the Eagle.
Something else with the Eagles: If you run 245’s (or wider) on the front, you will need to jack the front pressures to 37-38 psi to avoid bump-steer on the expressway if the roadway has truck-depressions (i80 is a good example of this type of roadway). That’s probably a result of the softer sidewalls (and something that the INVO’s don’t suffer).

Same here.... I have toyo Proxes 4s and have loved them... the best tires Ive used so far. Ill be going FI in the summer and ill be looking for new tires to handle the power. Has anyone been able to compare both of these tires?
Invo's are okay for performance. Nowhere near PS2, RE01R, RE11, Z1's, NT05, RE050PP, etc. They are a good tire for the price on a daily driver car. Nowhere near a max performance tire...they are well rounded but not exceptional. Having driven, raced, or owned every one of those tires listed I would say they are a good performance tire that wants something livable, decent mileage, and good performance. Not something I would take to the track or expect to work great on a high powered car thats driven aggressive.
I have both. invos and t1r. i have to finish my invos b4 i get to the t1rs. I got them at superautobacs when they were going out of buisness. 245/40/18 275/35/18 for 630 otd for the t1rs. they are in my closet right now. The invos seem pretty good so far.
Thanks for the reviews and comments everyone! These were the tires I wanted to buy as soon as I read about them I am still going to go with these tires.
I have found a decent place to buy them:

Great prices on tires and shipping!
