Default Widest Tires on 18/19 stock Rays wheels

Hey Guys, I could be wrong but I couldn't find this anywhere. I have an 06 with the 18/19 rays wheels. The stock 245/265 Bridgestone's need to be replaced and I was curious if I could put on 255/285 without any rubbing issues. I understand that adding a 10mm spacer would most likely allow for this but I dont need the extra width that bad...any input would be great! thanks.

There is plenty of room for an addition 20 mm. But what are you trying to achieve? Performance? Just get better not wider tires.

I guess I am guilty of going for a little bit of "the look" as well as the performance. With the 10 inch wheels out back a 285 would sit nice...So you don't think I would have any issues with clearance?

no prob with clearance without the spacer. Do the tires and then space them where you want them

I have that size on my NISMO wheels and they are exactly the same as yours. I could go wider if I wanted too as their is clearance.

KDW2's also are slightly wider than most tires of the same size.

After a while of having them now, I really don't like them. They look nice, but traction, and noise is terrible. MY RE050s were stickier than these were and were much quieter. I won't be buying these again.

They are starting to get louder and to the point where it's hard to hear people on the phone.

I'm running 295 in the back and 265 in the front on my Nismo Z.

would a 285/265 combo be good? are there any negatives of going to a wider tire? loss of acceleration etc?

For traction control the tires should be close in terms of overall diameter to your stock tires.

My 295/30-19's are -1.3% and the 265/35-18's are -1.6%

My 285/35/19s doesn't come near to rubbing with KDW2s. Depending on the tire it probably will not rub.

the profile also factors in the width. Like I said it's a very close diameter to the stock diameter.

I'm completely stock. No problems. I have an '07 Nismo BTW.

Dude that did my fronts said he wouldn't do anything more than a 265. He said it was really close. One guy on here is doing a square 275 setup on a G35 I think with no problems but I wouldn't want to go that wide in the front.

I was talking about the rear. I know 275 can fit the front as my friend had that size for his race setup. I just forget the offsets. I think it was around 15~.

I would be going with Michelin PS 2 again.. PS2's do run a little wider thats what im worried about. The 285 i have now is ok, but with the nismo rears i need a wider stance
