06 stock 18" wheels widest tire installed
After reading threads and threads i have gone and dun it. I installed 265/40's on the rear and 245/40's on the front. On a 06 base with 18" stock wheels. Done with Sumitomo HTRZIII tires.
I came off a set of Goodyear F1's 245/45 and 225/45, and they were hugely better than the stock Bridgestones. The Sumi's seem to be very comparable to the Goodyears, but considering i went up in tire size; that may have also added to handling.
How they fit? The front 245's fit perfectly with no sidewall bulge. The rear
265's look meater but with a little bit of sidwall buldge. It is not very noticeable, but not like the flat looking sidewalls on the front.
Handling?
Turn in is impressively quick and accurate. The rear end seems a little more "rolly" than usual, but once into the turn; it grips nice. The best part is the Launch; i get a much quicker and smoother launch with minimal wheel spin. Nessesary when you don't have a limited diff. Which will never happen again.

eh..You can go up to 285's in the rear..I'v currently got 275/40 on the rear with 25mm spacers...after getting advice and reading its better to stick with nothing bigger then 255 probably...at least for tread ware..My tires along with two others that have gone as big as 275's get premature ware in the center of their tire.

Well done on the sizes, keeping VDC happy, and not going too large. 275s are too large for the rear 8.5" wheel, let alone 285s like Zerafian was talking about. You maximized the rubber correctly.
Nismonate said to get spacers to push the stockers out towards the fenders a little more. This is a personal preference, but can be done safely and effectively if YOU like the look. Borrow some from a friend or a local before buying to see if you like it.

DaytonaZED, Thanks for posting pics. Your setup looks fine. 
I think a 1/2" drop would improve the look. I'd do the drop and see how that looks before adding spacers (I hate spacers).
